Boats at Lauksletta House
Lauksletta House is a really well run family accommodation in a scenic setting with excellent access to both sheltered and offshore fishing marks, the best in the area. You certainly do not have to travel far for great fishing for Cod, Halibut, Coalfish and Wolf fish.
Subject to weather this is an excellent area to target the big spring cod, late March through to April. There is prolific fishing through the summer months for all species with big coalfish generally arriving July onwards. Halibut can be caught anytime but September into early October is usually when the big halibut arrive.
Shore fishing for smaller cod is possible and in spring/early summer there is excellent sea trout fishing nearby where there is a fresh water inflow.
There are three self-catering apartments in the main house, each offering comfortable accommodation for 2 to 4 persons. The property can therefore cater for groups of up to 12 comfortably.
Apartment 1 is on the ground floor and is self-contained. It has two bedrooms each with two beds, lounge and fitted kitchen/dining area. Apartments 2 and 3 are on the first floor.
The main house is fully licensed and serves excellent meals. Lauksletta has an excellent reputation for fine food and a friendly service. The dining room is available to all guests meals are paid for locally.
The nearest supermarket is a 10 minute drive away and it is possible to borrow a car (limited times) or can be easily accessed by boat. Guests have use of a sauna.
The sheltered harbour is a 300 metre easy walk. Boats are self-use and there are two aluminium 18 foot Kvaerno boats with 50hp outboard petrol engines. Please note at least one person in the group must have boat operation experience. If born after 1/1/1980 and operating a boat of 25hp and above he/she will be requested to supply an ICC, International Certificate of Competence. This must include coastal navigation to be valid in Norway.
Flexible duration's and arrival days are available (subject to operation of the fast ferry). Best days to travel are Tuesdays and Thursdays in either direction.

Flights from UK are not included.
Transfers from Tromso are via fast ferry to Arnoyhamn taking just 90 minutes with a return ticket costing around £80 per person return (pay on board).
Clients are met upon arrival for the short transfer to the property; about £30 per person return to pay locally.
