Dolmøy Gjestebrygge is situated on the outer part of Hitra island in Mid-Norway, and is only a two hour drive from the airport. Hitra is renowned as one of the best seafishing areas in Europe and offers an abundance of wildlife both on shore and off shore, being one of Norway’s biggest islands it is host to some 2500 wild red deer. Just off the main island there are literally hundreds of small islands which can be explored. There are also museums and several old fishing communities worth visiting while on Hitra.

Dolmøy Gjestebrygge offers spectacular sea fishing, situated within easy reach of the open sea and numerous sheltered spots if the weather gets rough. You can typically catch coalfish, cod, haddock, pollack, wolffish, redfish, halibut, monkfish and more.

Accommodation

Dolmøy Gjestebrygge consists of seven comfortable apartments and seven fully equipped fishermens cabins with a seaview and their own terrace. All apartments and cabins come with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and lounge and house from two guests up to a party of ten. All bedding, electricity and cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the price.

There is also a communal hot tub and sauna for the guests to enjoy.

The change-over day for the apartments is on Monday and for the cabins on Fridays.

Facilities

You will find a filleting room on site where you can clean your catch and a tackle shop where you can hire or buy a wide range of equipment. Its own jetty for filling fuel and diesel. We have a compressor for those of you who enjoy diving and a drying room for you to dry your equipment after the dive.

Dolmøy Gjestebrygge has its own fully licensed ‘pub’ where you can enjoy a meal and a drink. You can pay extra to have full board if you wish. The pub has a big terrace where you can enjoy barbecues on seemingly everlasting Norwegian summer evenings.

Local shops and amenities are all only a short distance away - by car or boat.

Our residential host is on hand at all times and he is also is a fishing guide who can show you the best fishing areas. 

The boats

The boats at Dolmøy Gjestebrygge are designed and built  by the owners of Dolmøy Gjestebrygge. They are built to the highest standards to give you the best possible experience at sea, offering maximum space for fishing with stowaway cupboards and rooms to keep the deck clutter free. You can hire a 20ft or 23ft boat depending on your individual needs. These boats are built with safety as top priority and comes with a GPS and chartplotter.
