Skaidi fish camp

Skaida is a true anglers paradise. World class fishing awaits you on a superb undeveloped lake where you can fish under the midnight sun for pristine trout and char. Regardless of whether you are an experienced angler or a complete novice this centre has the know-how and equipment to help you have an enjoyable holiday.

Itinerary

From Skaidi Fjellstue we will walk for about 1 hour to reach the lake, here we will set up a camp, fish and enjoy a good meal. In the evening we will go back to Skaidi Fjellstue to rest and talk around an open fire. Finally we will have a good sleep in newly made up beds.

Accommodation

4 rooms with 3 beds and 2 rooms with 4 beds at Skaidi Fjellstue. Shop available at Skaidi. Bring your own clothing, all meals included.

Flights/transfer

Flights to Alta og Hammerfest. Transfer from Alta (80 km) or Hammerfest (60 km)

Fish License

State licence for game waters is required but not included in the price -about NOK 300,00.

Skaidi Salmon camp

Do you want to learn how to catch a salmon? For a one day fishing trip, we invite you to come to the Repparfjord Salmon River. We will provide you with everything you will need including, tackle, lunch and expert guidance. Lars Bjørn has a wealth of experience on the river we fish and will always be on hand to offer his expert advice on the best methods for fishing each of the rivers and salmon pools, taking into account the weather conditions and water levels.

Fly casting including Spey Casting tuition is available for the complete beginner or more advanced for anyone wishing to brush up on their skills. We won't just teach you how to cast, we will teach you how to read the river and how to catch salmon, as well as how to preserve the fish for the best meals.
