FERRY INFORMATION
Checkin time prior to departure is normally 1 hour, However this is at least 2 hours with P&O Ferries to Holland and all Norfolk Line Sailings to Dublin and Belfast. Photo ID is essential too on Norfolk Line Sailings to Ireland.
Minibus and vans must be declared at the time of booking as they usually have to be booked into a special category. Please advise us if the vehicle height is over 1.8 metres or the length exceeds 6 metres. Failure to do so could create problems at the port.
Cabins are included on all overnight sailings where the duration exceeds 6 hours. (Harwich-Hook, Hull-Rotterdam, Birkenhead- Dublin/Belfast overnight sailings).
Please inform us of the vehicle type and egistration number and all passenger names as soon as possible, preferably at the time of booking.
AIRLINES - BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE
This varies from airline to airline and you should either contact our staff or check the appropriate airlines websites. Canada/USA is generally a piece system with a maximum weight in total. Norway with SAS is a 20kg limit, Norwegian offer 1 oe 2 pieces of baggage, 20kg per piece booked and paid at time of booking with the option to add or pay at the airport. Fishing rods with most airlines attract a surcharge as outsize baggage. We suggest the use of travel rods that fit in your suitcase where possible.
Hand luggage, 1 piece, is free but there are sensible size limits. No sharp objects, knives, hooks, lures, reels with line etc must be paked in hand luggage - these should be packed in your hold luggage.
Passports: please ensure your passport is valid for your trip. Most destinations insist that your passport must have an expirey date at least 6 months after your return flight.
Car Hire: You will be requested to produce a valid driving license and a credit card for security purposes (not a debit card). Without both of these car rental will be refused even on pre paid vouchers.
Fishing Licenses/Permits: These must be purchased in resort where required. It is sometimes a requirement that licenses must be carried at all times when fishing.
