Mick takes a number of trips to the Molengroet Hotel and Chalets. Excellent lake and canal fishing with no driving required. A totally inclusive holiday experience for 1 to 6 anglers. Whilst we have caught 100 pound plus bags of bream here, I feel this is an out and out pleasure location, where variety of species is the emphasis. When the float goes under or the tip goes round you never quite know what might be on the end! It could be carp, rudd, tench, hybrid, roach, bream, zander! You never really know.
Access is good, swims are comfortable, scenery pleasant... it's a great pleasure fishing location with good variety.

This hotel is situated on a lovely canal that is stuffed with fish. There are numerous attractive swims within a short drive on both lakes and canals. Fishing opposite the hotel is good so it is not necessary to drive far. The De Buizerd is a good value hotel and has an excellent restaurant serving superb food.
Most rooms are twin bedded, but there are also 4 singles, though book early as these are always in demand. All rooms are en-suite and have a TV.
The scenic canals and nearby lakes are full of fish including bream, hybrids, roach, rudd, tench and carp. Easy access and parking with brilliant fishing. You are only 10 minutes from Sanders tackle shop for bait, bargains and advice. You can purchase the necessary local permits at the hotel.

Centrally located at the edge of the Nieuwkoop Lake District, De Visotter consists of a number of privately owned mobile homes, some of which are available for rent. The caravans are located on strips of land separated by water and most offer fishing from right outside the properties. The caravans sleep up to 4 in two bedrooms (double & 2 single beds or 4 bunk beds) and there is a bathroom, living room, dining area and kitchenette. All cooking, crockery and cutlery utensils are provided. There is a seasonal clubhouse with bar which is open on weekends in May, June and September but also some weekdays in the high season months of July and August. In the nearby village there are 3 bars, a supermarket, pharmacy and bakery. In Nieukoop (5km) there are more facilities including restaurant and a swimming pool. Your hosts at De Visotter will be glad to provide information on the local facilities. The location suits all levels of pleasure anglers and offers opportunities for the serious carp angler. The large silty bottomed lake has lots of swims to explore and this is best done by hiring a boat. In addition to the carp there is a good head of quality bream, roach, hybrids plus rudd and tench.

A small, friendly hotel offering excellent value with fishing very close by. Bedrooms are basic, but clean and comfortable with TV, shower, toilet and some rooms have a small balcony. Please note that the stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep. There is a small bistro café which provides good value food and a small bar.
The self-catering accommodation is in modern chalets close to the hotel and some back on to the canal which runs alongside the Molengroet complex. The compact chalets have a shower, toilet and 2 bedrooms which sleep up to 4. There is a kitchen area with microwave, fridge and hob but no oven. The lounge has a TV with video. DVD and CD player. There is excellent fishing on the big Noord Kanal and Geestmeeren Lake which has huge stocks of coarse fish and lots of smaller canals and nice lakes. Fishing is for bream, roach and hybrids with a good chance of tench and carp and all within a short drive of the hotel. FISHING LICENSE/PERMITS SOLD AT RECEPTION.

GEESTERAMBACHT. Large lake with good depths. Large stocks of bream, roach, rudd and hybrids. Very clear water so fishes best early and late in the day.
MOLENGROET AREA CANALS. A network of small canals full of mix species. You never really know what will be on the end after your float goes under. Excellent fishing on close by.
DIRKSHORN LAKE. Good depths, easy fishing. Excellent head of bream, good carp, very big pike and specimen tench into double figures.
OUDESLUIS. Picnic tables and parking on your right. 13 fishing stands, lower 5 or 6 have deeper water, upper ones shallower water. Good bream fishing, mixed species. Be prepared to fish more than one session as these pegs are rarely fished.
HEEMTMEER. Good head of rudd, roach, bream and hybrids. Stocked with carp too. Easy fishing with good depth in places.
NORD CANAL (North Canal) SCHOORLAM. Pre baiting advisable. Occasional large barge traffic that can disturb your feed for a short while, just at a few balls straight away and the fish come back on the feed. Fish the grassy bank pegs up to the tall trees.
LOCAL TACKLE SHOP. NIPRO SPORT. Huge tackle warehouse with everything you need. Good friendly advice. All the tackle and bait you need. English spoken. Highly recommended tackle superstore.
