Lakeland is the number one destination for our angling customers every year since 1980. When we first started selling fishing breaks. The big attraction is a maze of water that not only provides terrific year-round sport, but has numerous nooks and crannies where you can escape to fish in total peace and quiet. Expect lots of bream to 5lb, roach by the net full, along with an increasing number of tench, hybrids, pike and perch on lakes and rivers.
Local angler Fergus Quinn says..
"Bolganard shows fewer bream but offers great tench fishing. Keshcarrigan Lake is little fished and produces bream to 6lbs on feeder. The local canal more of a slow moving river gives great sport too. Lough McHugh is producing its best fishing ever with good bags of tench. Creenagh Lake (Mohill) lovely place to catch good tench and roach, small water with easy access. Drumbad is a superb bream and tench water, at its best from April to September"

Fishing Holidays in Bawnboy
The village of Bawnboy is central to some of Cavan's very best coarse fishing. The Shannon-Erne Waterway flows nearby and there are so many lakes that it would be possible to stay all summer and never fish the same one twice. The must-fish waters are Bunerky and Brackley lakes.
Fishing Holidays in Belturbet
Belturbet is a renowned Irish angling centre. The River Erne and its many lakes dominate the area and the river is joined by the Shannon-Erne Waterway below the town. Expect excellent all-round fishing throughout the year for roach, bream, hybrids, perch, pike and tench.Belturbet is a renowned Irish angling centre. Fishing Holidays in Loch Gowna
Loch Gowna's lake system is an angler's paradise. The great thing about Lough Gowna is the nook and crannies that provide peaceful fishing and a section of shoreline to suit everyone. Among the many noted sections are Church Lake, Dernaferst, Swan Lake, Corfree, Rosduff and Leonard's Shore.
Fishing Holidays in Co. Leitrim - Lakeland
Many 'undiscovered' lakes, ideal for those who like to explore.
Leitrim has an abundance of rich lakes holding healthy stocks of prime tench, roach, rudd, bream, hybrids, pike and perch. Water shapes the county - generally known as 'lovely Leitrim' whose boundaries have the Erne system to the east and the great River Shannon to the west; while the Shannon-Erne Waterway meanders through the very heart of Leitrim. There is a wealth of fine fishing, including Bolganard Lake that produced the current Irish record bream.
The towns and villages of Co. Leitrim:
Ballinamore
Ballinamore can boast of fishing on dozens of prolific lakes including Garadice Lough where there are 100 swims you can drive to!
Carrick-on-Shannon
Carrick-on-Shannon has prolific fishing for bream, roach, hybrids and tench on the River Shannon. There are plenty of sections such as Battle Bridge and Boderg where great catches can be made. Those who prefer lakes can choose from 41 within a six-mile radius, open all year, free of charge and loaded with tench, rudd, roach, bream, pike and perch.
Carrigallen
Carrigallen's Town Lake has great tench, roach and bream and is a short walk from the main street! There are 14 first-class fabulous lakes within a three mile radius, including Glasshouse, Rockfield, Cullies and Gulladoo - all loaded with a fine mix of tench, rudd, roach, bream and pike.

Big bream and large roach are a feature of the River Shannon at Dromod and Roosky.
