Choice of water - The Ijsell is a big powerful water system, a bit daunting, but you fish the margins for prolific bags of big, strong coarse fish. It's a feeder or pole water and it's one of the few waters with barbel.

The Vechte is a gentler river that has excellent coarse fish. Waggler, pole, stick and feeder all produce, depending on flow factors. There are lots of backwaters and stillwaters to fish in this scenic area.

The conservatory restaurant offers a choice of table d'hote or a la carte and there is an open air café. Set in attractive wooded grounds on the outskirts of Dalfsen town the hotel is close to the River Vecht in the Owerijssel region. There is tackle storage available but bait fridge space is limited.

This complex of privately owned bungalows and chalets caters for both the serious and the family angler. There are a variety of properties catering for between 2 and 6 persons in a country setting close to the delightful little town of Dalfsen and the River Vechte. The accommodation is comfortably furnished and offers great value.

All the properties have a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, cooker and microwave oven and most types include a dishwasher. There is a living room with TV, radio, dvd player and internet access.

The reception is open from Monday to Saturday and has a shop and tourist information. There is also a small cafeteria in the reception building which is open for snacks most days in low season and daily in high season.

Guests have free use of the indoor swimming pool at the on-site sports centre. Other activities (for which there is a charge) include a fully equipped gym, squash and tennis courts, sauna and mini-golf. Cycle hire is also available.

The a la carte restaurant at the park is open daily from midday except Mondays and Tuesdays. A short stroll back towards Dalfsen will bring you to the nearby Hof Van Dalsen Hotel where there is an open air café and excellent restaurant.

Dalfsen town centre is 5 minutes away by car and there you will find supermarkets, a selection of other shops and restaurants.

There is excellent fishing in the Vecht and local still waters including the Bellingeweer ponds at Dalfsen and the nearby Kolk Marshoek. Dalfsen has two shops that sell a limited amount of tackle and at one of these, Welkoop, you can purchase the necessary local permits.
